The J Class replica new build "Ranger" was built by Danish Yachts in the shipyard in Skagen, in a composite of high tensile and grade A steel, to Lloyds Classification, the MCA Code of Practice for the safety of large commercial yachts and the J Class Association Rules. Taken from the same lines as the original in 1937, “Ranger” took the prestigious award for ‘Highest Technical Achievement in a Sailing Yacht’ at the Annual Showboat Awards, just one year after she was launched. Her superb finish is entirely down to the strength of the team at Danish Yachts, working closely with the naval architects and interior design teams. Her luxury interior illustrates the incomparable joinery skills from the craftsmen at Danish Yachts, who combined traditional quality with a modern approach to the working technical areas on board.
