Espen Øino International
Working from a light, airy space which overlooks Port Hercules in Monaco, Espen Øino International is a design house with a global reputation for innovation, his team having been responsible for some of the most high-profile superyachts afloat. Espen himself is Norwegian, educated in France and with a degree in naval architecture from Strathclyde University in Scotland. He is irrepressibly enthusiastic about the future of yacht design, but he also brings a great sense of heritage and tradition to his work, coming as he does from a family with five generations in the boat building industry.
Espen Øino’s association with Danish Yachts began with Moon Goddess, a powerful 35m dayboat whose bold hull design and high-tech carbon/epoxy construction combine to give outstanding performance in a boat which nevertheless boasts a luxurious interior to the highest possible specification.
Our collaboration has continued with his AeroCruiser 38 II – due to commission in early 2011 – and will continue with an exciting new Flybridge version, which is currently on the drawing board.
